Hi everyone
My ex is leaving the country for a weekend and thinks I dont know. She's leaving my 2 sons aged 4 and 2 for the first time by themselves with a friend she's known for a about 2 years.
This is the first time leaving them and she's chosen to leave them with this friend and not tell me and hide it all from me. She has been hiding where my kids go to nursery as she's recently changed their nursery and refuses to tell me where they are.
We only split up a year ago and she's only gone toxic in the last 2 months (possibly due to travelling and not wanting me to have the kids) and is stopping me from seeing the kids as often as she can making excuses. I have no court orders against me or any foul play. Is there anything I can do to stop her simply leaving the kids with someone I don't know? Do I have any rights? She's blocked me on everything so I have no way of knowing how my kids are at all.
Thanks
Hi there, if you are on the BC then you have the same rights as the mother.
In this instance, you would have to call the police as you are concerned about the welfare of your children. By law the police would have to give the children to you until the mother comes back. Once you have them in your custody, then call the Social Services explaining what's happened. They will take it from there.
