Can or should a father be allowed to sue the mother for the expense incurred for going to pick up children at the agreed local police department. This is a round trip of forty miles and with the price of gas it becomes expensive when you go there for the last fifty weeks only for the mother not to show up. The father has a court ordered custody agreement that the father has the children four days a week and the mother has three days a week. She refuses to go by the court ordered custody agreement and the law will not do anything because they say it’s a civil matter. Charges were filed for contempt and it has not made it to trial in almost a year.
