The Protect and Serve Campaign.
"WARNING! Alienators Are Operating in Your Area."
About the campaign.
The Protect and Serve Campaign by PAPA (People Against Parental Alienation) is a global campaign designed to raise awareness and educate the public of the significant harm caused to children by contact denial and parental alienation.
Our campaign aim is to PROTECT children and to SERVE the community by promoting a collective effort in identifying and preventing the abuse of children.
To do this we are putting up signs and posters as well as distributing our awareness cards in towns and cities in the UK and across the globe, including our PAPA Canada chapter, to ensure the public are aware of the severe consequences of parental alienation and contact denial.
Alongside this effort we will be distributing information leaflets to all relevant public sector organisations to ensure they are aware of how to identify parental alienation so that we are able to bring perpetrators to justice.
We will be piloting a new operation where we will work alongside local authorities in identifying communities affected by parental alienation and making direct contact with perpetrators in order to act as a deterrent and prevent harm to children.
Parental alienation can be a punishable offence due to coercive controlling behaviour being a criminal offence, as is non accidental injury to a child.
We believe that parental alienation should be a criminal offence in its own right however we also recognise that alienators can be found guilty of the aforementioned offences.
In order for us to ensure this happens and justice is served, we need communities to speak up and report any alienating behaviours they witness.
Parental alienation can and does cause a myriad of mental health issues and in some cases; death.
By assisting us and the authorities with their investigations you will not only be protecting children from abuse but you may also be helping to save lives.
What We Propose
In order for us to stop this harm to children it's clear that a lot of work needs to be done, so we propose a few changes that will decrease the likelihood of mortality in parents.
-
More research conducted on the harmful impact of parental alienation.
-
Parental alienation to be made a criminal offence in its own right.
-
A national register for proven abusive alienating parents.
-
More training for schools and other local authorities on how to identify parental alienation.
-
A presumption of equal parenting time and support immediately after parents separate.
-
Equal support provided to both parents after separation.
-
Greater deterrents and punishments for unjustified contact denial.
-
Court orders being enforced.
-
In severe cases; alienating parents to be imprisoned.
Help Us Protect Children
The long term impact of parental alienation on children is well known and well documented yet society is still ill equipped in dealing with these situations.
We are pushing for greater public awareness and education as well as increased education in public sector organisations.
By doing this we can make it easier to identify and prove abuse when it is happening and we can ensure that the alienators are dealt with accordingly in the interest of protecting children.
You can help support the campaign by downloading our free poster here and distributing in your area. You can also help by distributing our cards and stickers or wearing our merchandise, which is available from our Supply store.
Help us hold alienating parents accountable for their callous actions and help us to protect children and serve our communities.
Let's end parental alienation together!
