In just 7 days, we will gather once again in Portsmouth as the Spinnaker Tower is illuminated in teal green.

Illuminated tower with PAPA teal green lights stands by a harbour at night, surrounded by city lights and boats in the water. Dark sky in the background. Parental Alienation Awareness Day.

This is not just a visual display, this is not just another awareness campaign,

this is a declaration.

Parental alienation is one of the most misunderstood and overlooked issues affecting families today.

It operates quietly, behind closed doors, within fractured relationships, and in the hearts of parents who are left without answers.

Too often, it is dismissed, minimised, or simply not recognised for what it truly is.

What we are doing changes that.

By lighting one of the UK’s most iconic landmarks, we are forcing this issue into the open; into public consciousness, where it can no longer be ignored.

And for that moment to have the impact it deserves, we need you there with us.

This article is a powerful call to action urging supporters to unite, show up, and stand visibly together to raise awareness of parental alienation and amplify PAPA’s global movement.

If you're an alienated parent or family member and need help with your situation then you should join PAPA today.

At PAPA we have several free to use support spaces, as well as several additional resources available to our Plus members, such as courses, PAPA AI, 1-2-1 help and workshops on family law and mental health.

When the Tower Lights Up, Something Changes

We have seen it happen; when the Spinnaker Tower turns teal, something shifts; not just visually, but emotionally and collectively.

People arrive as individuals, often carrying years of pain, confusion, and isolation.

But as the light rises into the night sky, something powerful begins to unfold.

Conversations start. Strangers become allies.

People who once felt completely alone begin to realise they are part of something much bigger.

The silence that surrounds parental alienation begins to break.

That is the true power of this moment.

It is not just about being seen, it is about feeling seen.

Why This Symbol Matters More Than Ever

The Spinnaker Tower dominates the Portsmouth skyline, so when it lights up, people notice.

Questions are asked. Conversations begin.

And that is exactly why this matters.

Because parental alienation has remained in the shadows for far too long.

Many still do not understand its impact, or see the long-term emotional damage it can cause to both children and parents.

This illumination changes that narrative.

It sends a message that cannot be ignored: This is real. This is happening. And it deserves attention.

It transforms something invisible into something undeniable.

Why PAPA (People Against Parental Alienation) Are Leading the World

We are not just part of this movement, we are leading it.

PAPA has become a global force in parental alienation awareness, campaigning, and advocacy.

While others hesitate, we act. While others talk, we create visible, impactful change.

We have:

  • Delivered the world’s largest tribute to alienated parents and children

  • Built a powerful and growing international community

  • Brought parental alienation into public spaces where it cannot be ignored

  • Consistently driven awareness through bold, meaningful action

We are setting the standard for what real advocacy looks like.

This event is not just symbolic, it is proof of what can be achieved when people refuse to stay silent.

Why Awareness of PAPA Is Critical

Awareness is the foundation of change.

But awareness does not happen on its own; it requires leadership, visibility, and persistence.

That is what PAPA provides.

We are more than an organisation, we are a movement.

We give people:

  • A voice when they feel voiceless

  • A community when they feel isolated

  • Strength when they feel powerless

The more people who know about PAPA, the stronger this movement becomes.

The stronger this movement becomes, the harder it is for parental alienation to be ignored, dismissed, or misunderstood.

Raising awareness of PAPA is not just about recognition, it is about building momentum for real, lasting change.

Why Your Presence Matters

The tower will light up regardless.

But what gives that light meaning… is the people standing in front of it.

Every person who attends adds to the strength of the message. Every person represents a story, a voice, a stand against silence.

When people see a crowd gathered, they ask questions.

When they ask questions, awareness spreads.

When awareness spreads, change becomes possible not only possible, but inevitable.

Your presence is not passive, it is powerful.

You are not just attending an event, you are becoming part of a movement that is growing, visible, and impossible to ignore.

This Is How Real Change Begins

Change does not always start in institutions or systems.

It starts with moments like this.

Moments where people come together, stand together, and refuse to let something important remain hidden.

We have already seen the impact. We have already seen the conversations it creates. We have already seen the difference it makes to those who attend.

But this is only the beginning.

The more people who stand with us, the louder the message becomes.

On April 25th, Stand With Us

On April 25th, for Parental Alienation Awareness Day, the Spinnaker Tower will light up once again.

And in that moment, we have a choice.

To watch from a distance, or to stand together and be counted.

We will be there. Standing together. Visible. United.

And we are asking you to be there too.

Because when the tower lights up, it will not just be illuminating the skyline...

It will be illuminating a movement that is growing stronger every single day.

And that movement needs you.

Visibility Is Power , Wear the Message

When the Spinnaker Tower lights up, people will look up.

But just as importantly, they will look around.

And what they see in that moment matters.

This is not just about being present, it’s about being visible.

It’s about turning a gathering into a statement.

A unified, unmistakable message that cannot be overlooked or dismissed.

That is why we are asking everyone attending to wear their PAPA merchandise.

When we stand together, wearing the same message, the same colours, the same identity, we become more than a crowd.

We become a movement that is impossible to ignore.

Every logo worn, every hoodie, every t-shirt sends a signal:

  • This is real

  • This matters

  • We are united

It strengthens the impact not just for those present, but for every photo taken, every video shared, every person who sees what we are building.

Visibility extends far beyond that moment; it travels, it spreads, and it amplifies our message in ways words alone cannot.

This is how awareness grows.

This is how momentum builds.

Important: Order Before the Day

To make this impact as powerful as possible, it is essential that merchandise is worn on the night.

PAPA merchandise will not be sold at the event, so it must be ordered in advance.

This is your opportunity to be fully part of the visual message we are creating together.

Do not leave it too late.

Because when we stand in front of that tower, illuminated in teal, what we wear will help define what the world sees.

And what the world sees… matters.
